One of the reasons I am not lowering my car. Does it look better 1.75 inches lower? Surely. Is it going to be a PITA around town? Surely.

That drive was plenty wide enough, he could of easily come at it at less of an angle and made it with no issue.

I have that problem ALL THE TIME in my Viper, Even getting my car from the garage onto the road I have to use the sidewalk and very slowly ease the car onto the road, I get to know which roads I can use and which roads I cant :( Petrol filling stations are a pain too, some of them put speed ramps at the entrance and exits  Driving very very slowly and at an Angle is key. I have held up many other road users trying to get over speed bumps. I now just treat it as a Game.

Yes, but how many times has your copilot had to try to lift your car by the wheelwell??

:omg: I'd offer to meet for pints next time I'm in London but I would hazard a guess you can't get anywhere near the Strand with that front end!

Friend of mine has a Ferrari Maranello that has a few scrapes under the chin. His driveway has a steep slope to it before entering the garage.
His shocks are shot now and the car is at the Ferrari dealer having them replacedand get some height adjustment made. The shocks alone will cost $10K ,so no Ferrari for me,lol. He just had the belt changed last year another $7k and the car only has 15K miles. There's an aftermarket system available now for around $2K I've heard, for super low cars. Lamborghini already addressed the issue > Lamborghini says the rigid mounting of the shocks to the body also allows engineers to dial back spring rates for a more livable ride. A pushbutton jacking system on the front axle allows the driver to raise the nose by a crucial 1.6 inches for speed bumps or steeper driveways.

I did think about some form of air suspension, like you see on those Lowrider cars in the Hot Rod scene but that's a enormous mount of effort and cost :(

London is a PIA, but it is possible, last August, there was a whole bunch of Super cars meeting in Regents Park at 6am to head out west to Salisbury (near Stonehenge). They had closed many of the roads off that morning in London due to a Bicycle Road race (practising for the Olympics) So I got diverted into Whitehall, I blasted up there at 5.45 am with the Viper fully De catted, My God the Noise was immense 128db! I was laughing as I passed No 10 Dowing Street :D What a way to wake up the Prime minister :D
