Factory dodge nav system for the SRT \'s (pics)

Some people have requested that we start this thread so here it is. This is a Dodge dealer part that works great, it goes for $1595 retail but I am sure that chuck tator (DA MAN) will hook vca members up. Install is plug and play no cutting or modding to be had.

Here is a useful link talking about the RB1

Do you use the stock (in the window) antenna or do you mount a different one. If so, where?
Thanks

The antenna goes ontop of the radio inside the dash so it cannot be seen.

I will take some pics over the weekend of the shift light, I use a modded vec2 box to control it.

That looks so cool, and high tech, but really so useless, to most people. I find it rather novel, but it does look cool, and a very good built in appearance.

Now lets have it display some engine data, and at the flip of a switch, show you how far you are to that curb stop in front that seems like it's farther away than it is, I'll buy one.

Very nice and a good addition for those that live in large Metro areas. Thanks for all the info on the easy install.

Thanks

so does it not play audio cd's?

if it does, then you're down to one cd at a time or the NAV DVD-ROM? can you play an audio cd and have the navigation system working at the same time?

Questions for ViperD:

1. Does the CD player in the Nav unit sound as good/better than our factory unit?

2. Did you install the "optional 10-CD changer" described in the link you provided that shows the systems?

3. If you installed the 10-CD changer, where did you put it? I know you have the NOS set-up, etc, so it must be getting pretty tight for you concerning spare space!

4. I think that a bumper mounted "Park-Sensor" system would be awesome in our Vipers. The "Park- Assist" system in my VW Touareg has saved me from running over the family dogs, bicycles, kids, etc. It is definitely a great option, especially for a Viper with such a long nose and poor view of things in front of us!

Thanks,

Jim W.

It does play audio cds, but if your playing a cd you can't use the nav unless you get a cd changer. ($200) witch the nav sys controls.

answers
1- Its sounds much better than the stock radio

2- no cd changer for me. I dont use the car that much (since I am into realestate and properties I can't live w/o the nav.

3- trunk space is for nos and propane only

4- no kids for me and my dog is bigger than some people
