Factory Floor Mat Mountings

I have a set of the factory floor mats for my 05 Copperhead. I have not installed them because it looks like once you do, with the way they are attached, you can not remove them. The mounting hardward does not come apart from the floor mat once locked into place. Is this the case ? Can you simply back out the "sharp needle" from the carpet and remove the mat once installed ? If not I am going to buy some high quality aftermarket Mats - Any advice on where to get those ? I seem to remember the california group selling some very high quality for the RT/10. What about the SRT-10 ?

John the stock floor mats are removable. The anchor [sharp needle] stays in place and the mats snap [two piece grommet] on and off the anchor.
