Does anyone know for sure what the factory warranty will be on the 03. What will be covered, and for how long.
Also will extended, enhanced, warranties be available, and for what costs?

Hmm, the commercials I see for the other Dodge products is 7/70 still. Wonder why we would be excluded from that (besides the fact that they don't have to).

Chuck,

Won't the corporate 7/70 powertrain warranty be included? Here's the "fine print" on the www.dodge.com website, plus, when you click Viper, it has the 7/70 logo to the left of the SRT-10...

*7 year or 70,000 mile powertrain limited warranty on all new Dodge vehicles. See dealer for a copy of the limited warranty. A deductible applies.

Although I havent checked wiuth him recently, my dealer was under the impression that the bumper to bumper warranty will be 3/36 & the drivetrain warranty will be 7/70, which according to him will make the upgrade to a 7/70 bumper to bumper warranty very cost effective. Those who might be gouged by their local dealer might want to look into purchasing their warranty from one of the majors like Roanoke or that popular feller out in Nebraska

The new car will have the 3/36 as per usual, and it is very highly unlikely that DC would delete the 7/70 coverage on their Marque vehicle. With an increased emphasis on quality control and warranty issues, I think it would be viewed negatively if Dodge deleted said coverage on the SRT-10. I look for this to continue on all vehicles, and the wrap around coverage to a 7/60 ( more cost effective ) should also continue. Keep in mind this only applies to vehicles purchased from July on, as vehicles prior to that are not eligible for the same upgrade - exception may occur with customers who got the 7/100 powertrain that was in effect for a few months. Keep in mind that the 7/100 is not transferable to the next owner, whereas the 7/70 is for the life of the vehicle.
