What did you do to your GEN 1 to make it go FAST with out
Adding a SUPERCHARGER or TURBO and how much
Horse power did you end up making.

Lots of Gen 1's were fitted with Nitrous Oxide systems.

They took well to them, and you could get 600 hp and 800 torque with enough juice.

Some even breached the 1,000 torque level, but they tended to be short lived at those levels.

It was not getting the HP/Torque levels in the early days as much as finding traction, and keeping the driveline together.

Roe Racing exhaust, Borla Headers, Harland Sharp roller rockers (Roe Racing), K&N air filets / smooth tubes. Dynoed a couple years ago at 415 HP and 475 TQ at rear wheels. Since then, I installed 3:45 Gears which will not likely affect the numbers. Traction is a problem as stated by Paul. Fidenza Aluminum flywheel is going in this Spring, which I am told will feel like a 50 HP gain. Gotta love the Gen I's for brute power with no frills.....:headbang:

Had Nitrous on my former Gen1 and had about the same #'s as Lauri, I believe I was at 602HP and 821TQ with a 200 shot of the go-go juice. I had 1.7 Harland roller's and exhaust. What a friggen beast..........god I miss that car!!

Dynoed my Gen.1 today and here is the results: 480 RWHP and 541 RWT. I am pretty happy with the numbers. I am running lean and only did one pull. There is more power to be had.

I had almost the exact same numbers with my Gen1 on a similar setup.
