Filming of Vipers and interviewing VCA members in INDY June 2...

The following info was e-mailed to Ind/Ky VCA members yesterday:

" The German TV crew from RTL will be in town next week filming for a motorsports show that will air in Germany one hour before the USGP F1 race here in Indy on June 20, 2004.

Last year they featured a Corvette in this taping...and now they want to film Vipers as well as interview the owners, as they have correctly heard that the Viper is truly an outrageous car and that the VCA is the MOST RABID automobile club !!!

The producer of this show plans to interview and informally chat with VCA members, and hopefully film a wide variety of Vipers for this program.

Working with folks from F1, City of Indy, etc., we have arranged for this to take place

Wednesday, June 2, 2004 at 1:30 PM (EST) on the grounds of Palmer Dodge North, 4545 EAST 96th St., Indy.

ALL OF YOU ARE INVITED...and hopefully, we can make a great showing for Dodge Viper and the VCA and INDIANA (one might try to arrive at 1:00PM)

I know that the weather is NOT predictable, and that this is short notice...but, try to attend as it should be FUN. There may also be a few scattered filming opportunities through Sat. June 5th (to be announced next week).

Our own VCA member, Bill Demaree, will host this event at Palmer Dodge NORTH.

Weather report OK for AM tomorrow...few scattered showers in early afternoon, possible isolated thunderstorms in late afternoon or evening.

Viper GTS, I HOPE that we made a good showing. RTL Executive Producer Ralf Claussen and the RTL crew were great. Our thanks to Ms. Kimberly Harms of the Convention & Visitors Bureau (Ms. Harms is a former Channel 8 Sportscaster) for her guidence and sense of humor.
Thanks to Palmer Dodge NORTH for hosting part I of the event, and a SPECIAL THANKS to All the Viper Drivers that made today's filming possible.

NOW I get it, Gary. By establishing the fact that you were up til the wee hours, you THINK that you have a good excuse for the low HP that you might pull today

We'll just have to wait and see...and, you better hope that the Blonde in the black RT/10 doesn't show up and whip your Asp (as she did several others last year !!!)
