Finally Elite\'s New Hood and facia installed!

Well for myself and all my co viper friends the long wait is over. About 7 weeks ago I dropped off my car and Scott from Elite Motorsports in Tampa shipped my new hood and facia. The body shop which was recommended by Chuck Tator in Katona, New York was doing the work. Midway through the project, Paul one of the owners, who was exclusively doing all the work broke his foot so he continued the project in a air boot. Hows that for dedication! Any way here we go.........

Looks nice, but what is with the fit? The gaps on the side of the hood are way out of wack.

Thanks guys! As far as the gap on hood in the front where it meets the facia, its really not a big deal. the hood is slightly shorter. We will adjust a little bit more.

Now with all the heat that comes out through the hood, the autoform vented cowl and the vipair air box accessory the car is now ready for its DLM transformation this winter which is already been scheduled. Can't wait!

Also installed a Daytona style gas cap with some custom engraving...

Hey bro.

The car looks awesome. Nice paint job on the hood. I like an aggressive looking car.

You have put a lot into your car, and it looks pretty darn nice (glad you got rid of that bra btw ;) ).

Seriously though, when I go to do mods, I use your car as a benchmark (even mention your car to Tator frequently).

One quick Q. What windows do you have, and do they leak?

Vipermania and they look and perform great. Air tight but she never goes out in the rain so I couldn't tell you how they would perform under heavy rain conditions. But they don't leak when I wash. Of course its not like I take the hose and blast them either!

Again thanks for the Kudos, I have tried to plan the mods as best as I could. Chucks great however I thinks he's a little disappointed that I'm going with DLM rather than Roe for the supercharger in the winter.

Very mean and very nice! I look forward to seeing it in person at Tator's next BBQ. It was already a showstopper then. Now with the hood, fascia and SCer it will be the most worked car there. We should start up a best of show for next year. From what I saw this year you would have taken it.

Are you thinking about continuing the stripes through the bottom of the fascia? Just curious.

Thanks Buckeye,

I have put alot into this baby. Now its time to take her out to the dance!

Adam, For all you've done she had better put out and go all the way! For how she looks, dancing could be some good foreplay though! Congrats, looks awesome!

Backnblack, I have never met another Castellano in the USA. My father is from Naples, Italy. I have relatives there, but none here.

Getting the right fit with a Viper is always a headache given that every body part uses shims and tensioners.

Re: Finally Elite\'s New Hood and facia installed!

Thanks Mike I'm going with Stage II with fuel cell.

Tony yes they are 18' HRE's and yes they are painted stripes on hood, mopar spoiler and sports bar and hardtop.
Looking for mid 7's at the rear wheels. I don't want it to be out of control!LOL

Thanks Paolo, I appreciate coming from a viper pro such as yourself!

Thanks Joe, the gas cap is a Daytona style cap made by FasRack. Had it custom engraved by Randy at ZAF and then hand painted, although I am probably going to have it repainted and baked. Cost apx $350.00 plus engraving. Installation requires pulling rear wheel and removing inner cover to get to under rear quarter panel. Installation is relatively easy.

Avip, your right but We will tinker with fit alittle. Have to let paint cure so I can 3M facia and hood.
This hood is very flexible and light so its quite different from OEM hood. Plus I had the Naca molded and feathered in to look cleaner.

More outdoor pics to come this week...

Thanks again everyone for the support and good vibrations!

Doug, I'll see you soon...........................
