My dad has a 1995 viper with the old style hood. i was wondering if anyone has put in the vents and front intake on the hood without getting a new hood

Contact Mike Hartley he has made a mold that will fit, has vents & very light. You can find his email under the comp coupe section.

Acutally Blake, yes. I have seen pix here of someone who has done just that. I don't know if I'd want to risk messing up anything cutting into my $12,000 hood. Use the search and you may find it.

Thanks for the imput. I called archer racing cause im over here in minnesota and he said that he has the vents and front intake parts that cost around $600 and then probably another 600 to install them. Do u have to repaint the whole hood? my dad doesnt feel like spending 6k for a used hood that has cracks or factory 2nd gen hood for 17k..jeez, thats alot a dough.

It can be done. There is a place called Snake Oyl Products in my neck of the woods that has done this and it looks factory. Yes, the hood will need to be repainted.

Archer Racing had this, I saw it this weekend. You could just put the hood scoop piece on for the look.
