First to 160mph in V10 Street Viper

I just wanted to restate my lost post that I believe Terry's car (or a sister to it) will be first to hit 160mph on 1/4 mile. Let's see if that proves correct.

The 8's are here, 160mph will be next.... it'll be another twin turbo ....just my feeling

I'm finishing up a Viper TT project this week and will be starting another TT project very soon, maybe (2). Both won't be 160mph cars in the traps though, but will run respectable numbers nonetheless. 160mph trap speeds are Doug Levin's territory or very close to that number.

I wouldn't place too much money on that TT bet. My guess is Doug Levin himself will be first to hit 160, probably with a monster blower and some laughing gas.

If I can tag 150 without N2O, I'll be a happy camper.

You may be right Ben - anything can happen - and you'd know what Doug is up to. My comment was based upon the fact that a TT has already run 156mph and that was a while ago... now it runs 8.93 on steeper gears but redlining well before the traps - it's just a matter of taller gears and more boost or NOS to make up for it... someone will do it.

150mph without NOS would be huge! I don't think many people realise just how fast that is in 1320ft.... good luck, and stay healthy!
