When I bought my 02 this year it had no mats-so the first thing I did was order a set from Dodge. Like you, my mat bunches up under the pedals, coming down from the top. As I understand it,from reading various places, the stock mats just arn't as heavy as they need to be. They are quite pliable, and that's why those in the know are getting custom mats. I'm not going that way, at least not yet because my mats are almost new. I also didn't screw that screw that came with the mats into the floor board. It wouldn't keep the mats from bunching up under the pedals anyway. I haven't come up with a solution yet but I'm going to check with a carpet shop in the area to see what they advise.
I bought some color matching mats from u.s.speed,,,,they're huge and don't slide around.........i went with a quiet black mat/orange fangs logo with orange binding for my copperhead....i think it was about $125
Order some of the custom mats from the Norcal VCA. Contact Maurice Liang or get online. The mats are very thick and have a slide resistant backing. Also, you can order the seaky pete or SRT-10 viper logos in a number of styles and color combos to match the exterior of your Viper. Here is a set I ordered to match a Viper GTS Blue exterior Viper:
Some will cut two small holes just above the sewn edge and tie wrap them to the seat frame where the floor mat lays. It works great. I don't have any pictures, but many have done this and someone may post one up.
