Re: Forgeline or HRE\'s

Yeah, i have the 13.5" rear. We slightly tweaked the offsets too and the rear lip is a bit larger then on a 13" wheel. When the car was not lowered the wheel actually stuck out past the fender a bit, but when lowered and some camber it looks amazing. Btw, we got 2 sets of the HARD TO FIND Pirelli P-Zero Rossos in stock in 345/25/20 today. We will sell them with wheel packages only. Other places have had these on backorder for over a year.

Re: Forgeline or HRE\'s

nader-- what size did you go with 19/19's? Yes your right it does need to be lowered to get the "Look" but the car looks great. I think i'll do the motons first then the wheels, who know the the stock 10 spoke may look alot better once its lowered...lol

Illmoo- Great pics thanks. I have always loved the polished/chrome but i think on silver i will have to pick a colored center, even silver to match the car may look great. thanks again for the input on the wheel sizes......

I am runniny 19s and 20s as most others. Love the setup. Made a significant difference in appearance and handling. The rears must be 15lbs lighter then stock. You can actually feel the diffence in the handling and ride characteristics. Dying to see how it will be with the motons.

Thank you. I also think it looks great, I sometimes just stare at it for a few minutes, LOL. The wheels are HRE 542R matte black finish with polished lip.

As for more pics for you guys. In about a week i should have some incredible shots of the car. Still, and action shots. We hired a professional photographer, I have seen his work and it is amazing.

Re: Forgeline or HRE\'s

Hey guys, I'm considering putting Foregline SP3P's or HRE's 547R's 19F/20R or 20F/20R on my '06 vert. What have some of your experiences been with either. I'm looking to order them as a package (rims and tires), so info on both would be helpful. Lastly anyone knows any good internet prices. I've been quoted some ridiculous ones so far.($8000 on average/ Viper tax I guess!)

Forgeline SP3P all the way!!! They look absolutely awesome with the gun metal finish against the stainless steel rim. I just bought a set of 19" for my 96 GTS. I have installed the following rubber; Pirelli Pzero Rosso 285 30 19 front and 355 25 19 rear.

Re: Forgeline or HRE\'s

I have three sets of Forgelines and one set of HREs (the new ones). Pick what you like, they are both nice wheels. If I had to choose, I like the HRE's better overall for the street and the Forgelines better for the track.

Whatever you choose, keep your useage (cruiser or racer) in mind and definitely call JonB. I really doubt that anyone could put together a better package when you consider the wheels, tires and the trade value of your existing wheels.

Good luck,

Dan :headbang:

PS, I can't spill the beans about the upcoming promo, but you should wait for it.
