I sold McViper, a 96 RT10 with yellow wheels, to Matt Gork who lives in San Jose. You may see me, in 17/85/280/880/hwy 9, or general Los and Saratoga area, in a GT2 with my son. our routine is to go for a ride almost every afternoon and or evening during the week and anytime during the day on weekends.

Fred,

I would love to tag along a few car lengths back sometime in my RT/10. My schedule is very free with what I do. I live in Palo Alto and am amazed by the beauty of the Bay Area.

Regards,

Rollo

Some of my popular routes for my drives are the following:
(I live in Sunnyvale)

up 280 to Sand Hill, head W
turn right off Sand Hill onto a road whose name escapes
me at the moment but it has a sign that says "to 35,
skyline blvd".
turn left onto 84

at the 84/35 interchange you can:

a) take 84 over to 1 on the coast
- From here, I either swing south and stop at one of
the beaches, or swing north and have dinner in Half
Moon Bay (or both).
- From there, take 92 back East. If its still light I'll
take 35 south back down to 84 and back to 280, otherwise
I just stay 92 to 280

b) go up 35 to 92.
- At 92, either go over to Half Moon Bay for dinner, or
just swing back to 280 and back down home again.

c) head down 35 to 9 and go through Saratoga

They're all great roads and coming from out of state (and from states whose greatest elevation change is an overpass) I really appreciate them. Route 1 is the stuff postcards are made of, and finding yourself as the only car on 1 in your Viper makes for some memorable drives

Mark and Greg-

I drive the same routes probably 2-3 times a week. Was it a '94 you saw in off Stevens Creek? I am new to the area, so I am not sure where that is in Santa Clara, but I know where all the car dealerships are.

It would be a ball to all meet on some Saturday morning (say, off 280 somewhere) and make that big loop with 92, 84, 35, and HWY 1 together!

I am going to meet "Treynor" this weekend for the first time in person.

You guys up for it some weekend? I could actually do it Saturday or Sunday morn. if you wanted...

Greg- its not just the motorcycles, its the bicycles! That's why I really enjoy those roads during the week in the evenings. The weekends get kinda packed. You come up on bicyclists going 2mph in your lane around a bend while from the other direction comes a motorcyclist going 100mph also in your lane cause he can't hold the turn!

Tom- I'm always up for a rip around with fellow Viper owners. We could get Will and Wayne (San Carlos) most likely as well. 5 Vipers are better than 3! This weekend I'm autocrossing at the Amer. Muscle Car Challenge (Sacramento), and next weekend I'm driving up to Oregon to squeeze in some late-season snowboarding. Drop me a note and I'll send you my phone #.
