Well, Not free.

I bought a 2 foot section of 3 inch silicon tubing from Napa for 20 bucks. It looks cool and was real cheap. I have half of the section left so it really was only 10 bucks.

Just an FYI. I see people charging an arm and a leg for the stuff.

Yeah. Thats what I was thinking. I ran the heck out of it for a while and it seems ok. Well see. If they were longer I may worry about it. They arent quite as rigid as the factory ones but its close. The tubing sells for 30 cents an inch at most shops. At 3 inches wide and not that long, I cant imagine there is a WHOLE lot of vacume. Not as much as would be on a superchager intake tube (which are usually metal) so thats a bad example.

You can keep the softer smooth tubes from collapsing by placing two extra hose clamps, in the middle, at 1/3rd and 2/3rd positions of the hose. This will help keep the hose round instead on flattening on itself.

I asked Dan Cragin about the vacuum collapse, he reckoned that it doesn't until the motor reaches the 540 hp and above level
