Seems that my fuel pump is singing louder than I have noticed before. I have been warned that the cost is outrageous to replace on a RT/10. The whine is defiantly coming from the fuel pump and there is not pattern to it just a loud buzzing that is constant until I put on brakes and the fuel sloshes around and then it quits for a few seconds, then it starts right back up. Any clues or suggestions??

Just a guess, the pump sits on dished grommet, if the grommet were to break or distort the pump would float and be in temporary contact with the hard plastic bottle and hence a noise that would be more discernable.

If this is the problem is the fuel pump going to have to be replaced? Seem to not do it after the car has sit for a while then starts up after the car is driven for a while. :(
