funny story on the way back from Reno, NV

I'll start off by saying, I'm not a "street racer".... and do not intentionally and/or on a regular basis engage in such acts anywho, on the way back from Reno with the new Viper I come across a pretty mean sounding TransAm WS6... you can hear it screamin down the highway.... he pulls next to me and starts his song and dance..... well we both jump and it's pretty even, mind you I don't know how to drive this damn monster of a car yet lol... so I take off in 5th lol.... it's pretty even.... we go one more time, this time I'm in 4th .... I pull on him pretty good at the top of 4th (not once going over 4K on the RPMS's either lol) he does hang with me decently though... but the point of this whole story is.... I'm surfing the internet on an LS1 site... and I essentially catch wind of this Viper kill story lol.... turns out it's him detailing how he won! lol.... granted the 1st run may have misslead him, but the second time around was pretty evident.... I PM him, give him credit for a fast car (nice guy by the way)... and then offer up the "Video footage" we shot of me pulling away, then his car shortly after passing once I let off the gas.... haven't read his response yet.

I PM'd him, just so he knew I saw his thread lol... he was a cool guy.... the thread was actually moved to a private forum as it pertained to street racing I guess... I do have the vid and I'll upload it tonight after work... I just thought it was funny, he talked about "all I saw was the Viper's headlights" lol... I'll post the vid tonight.

I'll post tonight... I'm tempted to register and post on the other site as well. lol I admitted his WS6 had some cojones, but not enough to beat my Viper. lol Video doesn't lie... I want to leave work early to get this damn video up! lol

He says he has "Dyno 357.4 rwhp".

If that's true, you shouldn't have been much faster than him.

If you didn't get into the "right" gear, and he did,
you couldn't really expect to be faster.

There's lots of fast cars out there that aren't Vipers.
Some of them don't know enough not to beat you.

I'm contemplating whether or not I go to all the websites that he posted the "kill" on and show the video! lol, but here it is... let me direct: we approach... trying to line up, he's a quite ways ahead when he launches! lol.... I wasn't even ready, I didn't even as press the gas pedal yet! lol, you can tell I get a little frustrated that he jumped the gun.... if that's his "kill" CONGRATS TO HIM! lol well I catch up, and we line up again.... then we actually go for it..... the video is dark and quality is poor.... but you can hear when I get on it.... and had he been the 1 1/2 cars ahead that he claims, you'd easily see his tail lights.... lol... but I pulled quite easily on him and had I more room would have kept pulling, you can see why I let up, there's a white sedan that was coming up in my lane quite fast.... once I let up, look at the left side of the screen... you'll see him eventually catch up and then pass lol.. you can't PASS if your AHEAD!!! I gave him credit for a fast WS6, but as goes in all "kill stories"... this one is quite fabricated.... let me know what you think guys. GTSvsWS6 Video

Just watched it and that first run was the biggest bog I've ever seen.
