Today I had parked the Viper and was walking back towards it when an elderly couple was walking past the Viper.

The woman said "what kind of car is that??? Looks like a Jaguar or a Ferarri??" The man said, "That's a Dodge Viper... about a $60K car!" The woman then said... "I didn't know Dodge made expensive cars".

Cracked me up..... but I guess before the Viper... Dodge didn't build anything exotic or expensive.

When you think how expensive some of the SUV's are getting, the Viper doesn't seem that pricey.

When people ask me what kind of car it is, since I live in a pretty conservative part of the country, they seem to be relieved that its an American car and take a little pride.

Anyone price some of the upper scale SUVs lately? Some pretty big bucks for those rigs these days and I see a TON of X5s, Escalades, H2s, etc all the time these days. I find it funny how a lot of these folks think they couldn't afford the insurance or gas costs of a Viper!

i've had a number of people ask me what kind of car it is, and when i tell them it's a Dodge Viper, they say, surprisingly enough, that they've never heard of it!
