Georgia and Tennessee guys only? What about us North and South Carolina guys? I never heard about this road, yet I live about an hour from it. I usually do the roads north of Lake Lure. I have to admit after reading about the number of turns (136 in 12 miles!) and the elevation change (from 2000 to over 5000 feet) It sounds just a tad better. If it's warm, I might take the Ninja, but the weather dude says 40's......Viper time.

If you never been to the gap it is UNREAL!!! over 300 turns in 12 miles & the ride up there is almost as good,& all the curves are banked. But if you really want some fun, we have 2 openings @ Road Atlanta Sat & Sunday. Call me today if you want in 770 453 7290. Ask 1Tony1 Road Atlanta is BIG FUN!

Yes,
I saw 39 degrees and that is for the valley where I live so I have not fully decided. Those guys will be glad to have you join them for the fun. The guy getting it together is Jeremy Blackwell a forum member here and owner of the www.streetracingforums.com Look under the Knoxville area forum for more info. They are meeting at a ******* for lunch.

You southern owners are so lucky. Deals Gap is one of the best roads in the country. We bring our bikes down from Ohio just to run the road, up and down, and then up and down, can't get too much of it. Haven't tried the Viper there yet but I would love to be able to bring it down this summer if there is a get together for the gap. Have fun and keep them on the asphalt.

Going to Deal's Gap with Tony this am. The GA VCA will likely be arranging (me) a trip to Deal's Gap in late Spring or early Summer. I will keep everybody posted. We will block rooms, schedule dinner, etc. It should be a blast. The only thing that will not be scheduled is rain. We might even be able to coordinate it with Sunday at the drags if Tony will help with that part. But, that may be too much. Let me know your interest.

Fantastic road, I live about 30 minutes from Dillbourgh and have ridden sport bikes there alot in the past. EVERYONE be careful if you don't know the road that well. It is an awesome span of pavement but can be very unforgiving. A good friend of mine nearly died on that road, and another was hurt really bad. Also, watch out for the lawdogs they keep an eye on it closely now. Don't won't to hear about any viper crashes. That said it is one great road. Wish I was going.
