Who is getting it bent over the worst. Surely the California guys are getting hammered. 2.79 premium Mobil in Rockwall TX (20 miles east of Dallas). Hope you guys bought stock in Valero back in October (VLO).

$3.00/gal for super in SoCal. The Viper is not the problem, it's my truck that's killing me. This is what killed the performance era in the 70's. History does repeat itself.

3.05$ for 94 oct.

However did you hear what Mr. Hugo Chavez told this week-end ?
If Mr. Danger (he calls so Bush) continues his subversive politics on Venezuela, Venezuela will stop selling petrol to the US.
The Bush family has an eye on the petrol in this country too ....

If Bush invades Venezuela we will not only pay high prices for fuel but we will have to line up to get some if available.

I know you guys are down on the vettes here and I certianly DO NOT want to get into any Viper/Vette debates and if I wasn't looking to replace my vette or even better add a Viper to my stable I wouldn't be here but have to say I get 18 MPG with my Z06 when I am beating the hell out of it and proably 25> when babying it or on the highway, you really have to give kudos to GM for creating a car with the performance it delivers (again, do not want to debate this) and no gas guzzler tax. Now my Lightning or any of the Fords I owned in the past got about 10 - 12 MPG. Just to put things into perspective I get the same mpg in my Z06 that I do with my MB C320.

Gas was approx 2.75 a gallon for Sunoco Ultra last time I bought it.

Funny you should say that as my Durango gets the same mileage TOWING a trailer & Viper than I get with the Viper alone. Go figure!

My wife and I had both Vipers out Saturday. On the way back from Delaware, we stopped and filled them up (they were each less than 1/4). I didn't get the price per gallon for premium, but it cost me $73.00 for both.

$3.07 for 93 in stamford CT but I've seen $3.15 somewhere. If you shop around you can just get that just under $3. Checking the Market Boards right now Crude Oil is at $66.23 a barrel on scares that US refineries will not be able to keep up with demand. Why can't this inflated market be a bubble that bursts and does everyone a favor?

I might be downgrading on the SUV daily driver. Test driving a Hybrid Escape today. (don't worry, will never part with the snake)

And to think, just a few months ago the Wawa down the road was only 2.03 for premium. You NY/NJ guys know what the "wawa" is :)

2.67 here in St. Louis, and we're normally close to the lowest in the nation.

Have you also noticed all the SUV's starting to pile up on the used car lots? It's only going to get worse. I was talking with a friend of mine who owns a dealership this weekend. He said he took 4 Durango's on trade last week alone. He couldn't get a buyer at wholesale for a Denali with 10k in aftermakert accessories. Too bad I'm not in the market for one.

I started to fill my Viper up with Beer now. I use Bud Light when just driving around and Budwiser when I want to get on her. The only thing is trying to explain to the cops why I have so much beer with me. Does that count as drinking and driving? Really I pay $2.67 for 91.

$2.95 in Central Illinois. I don't mind high prices for the Viper it's the high prices for my daily driver like my Buick Rainier SUV that it does not get the greatest mileage.
