Hello ladys and gentlemen.

Tried my new srt and loved evry moment of it.... exept one. I have a hard time passing my gears after 1000 KM made on the car. I am talking not just hard to pass but actually screeching some time , specially when the car is hot and I am at the end of my break-in period. Also When I release the clutch I have engagement after 1/4 inche only, it's not normal. Has anybody experienced this on his beauty.

Any advise would be welcome.

Deciphering that was a challenge, but I think you mean that your car is a bit hard to shift? Mine is too. Irritates me.

If you mean that your shifts have worsened since it was new and that the sound you hear is gear clash then you probably do have something amiss. The engagement point should be well off of the floor. Again if it engages near the floor something is wrong.

Both aspects mentioned sound a lot like other claims of the pressure plate fasteners backing out.

Thank you Viper SRT and Steve-Indy, you guide me to search everything in the forum with pressure plate and it's exactly my problem (what experience few owners, like Viper X and Vipera Russelli). I go to the dealer tomorow with what I print.

Thank you very much

P.S. BigCarrot, if you have real issue make a search with pressur plate ( if sometime not able to get in gears or to shift at all)

The dealer called and something is bent on the pressure plate.

The clutch was not able to disengage completely, they will change clutch & pressure plate. Also they found a bolt from the oil pan in the bell housing?????

Will get the car tomorrow. My break-in period is finished I will be able to floor it WHAOOOUUU.

The center rear oil pan bolt(s) is inside of the bellhousing. The Paxton manual says to use Loctite for it. Sounds like that one did not. I have not looked at the service manual to know what its says.

There was another post that talked about bent fingers. Maybe the same thing???

Silver Viper,

You have problems, and this is positively not good for so many reasons. My 04 was this way, when I went to pick it up, in GA The car had 400 miles on it, and the dealer tried to hand it over to me like this. The clutch and the hydro system were replaced. Hard to say what the actual cause was, but I can tell you both, clutch and hydro system can be the culprit.
