Jason, which paint shop did you use and how much did they charge? I have my car apart at the moment for a short throw shifter install. It looks like they did a nice job and I may want to do it while it's apart.

You car is apart too? Seems to be a sickness around these parts. PM sent.

PartsRack also has the new OE G1 dashboards for Waaaaaaaaaaayyy less than $1000 !!!!!

We quit selling the "Superior" product (nice quality tho) becasue it requires meticulous surface prep, and if you get lazy, the pieces will come off in the sunlight............

The $1000 receipt (The items were included with the car) included a dash, glovebox door, center consol radio/shifter surround, and R/L door handle surrounds. Maybe the guy was over charged...I have no idea. All I know is the black looks so much better than gray. All I need to finish my interior is a chrome roll bar and harnesses.

Is this the superiordash kit? Where you just stick it on your old dash?

Can you explain how that works? do you have to take the dash off at all? prep the desh before you stick it on?

Also i heard rumors that this thing does not like to stick that well? any issues with that?

can you tell in person it is just a stick on?

I think it looks great, espeically if you had the gray parts wrapped in leather or something not gray. Is there a reason your door handle surround is black? and not carbon fiber? it looks like the superior dash kit comes with that peices?

thanks!

I took the panel off that holds the ashtray and goes to the bottom of the stereo and around the shifter and ebrake and it is a panel, with clips the clip in, its not a sticker.

It fits very well and looks good, I have no idea who makes it as it was on the car when I got it, but I know the person so I will ask.

It may have been coated by Elite Motorsports in Florida. They did a lot of carbon fiber coatings on Viper plastic parts. I have even seen front inner fenders coated to look like carbon fiber.

It is all in the prep work if you paint your dash. If you rush the prep, it will turn out looking like crap but take your time and do not rush, it will look great. I had my dash and door panels painted on my Gen1 and you could not tell.
