I don't have an airbox, I have tubes & k&n cone filters.
I'm going to put a plate under the filters to seperate them from the rad. I still have the duct from the front of the rad. coming over the top. I want the naca duct for a little more air & they look good on the outside, gives the hood some more class!!!!!!! :2tu:

Cool, mine aren't as purdy as yours but it's the same principal! I just think the naca duct would give more
cooler air to the filters. The way it is, a big improvement over the "box & smotth tubes" IMHO. Sounds better too!!!
btw, how do ya get pics on the board here? :2tu: :headbang: :2tu: :headbang:

The NACA duct would be cool, but I'd be too afraid to cut into my hood.

This site hosts a media gallery where you can upload you photos and access them from there.

Just place the address of the picture inside of the image brackets. Don't include "url=" or anything after "jpg"

I just have a gen II hood on my gen I.. you going to do the wheel vents too? the prior owner had modified the original genI airbox to acct for the naca duct. I replaced that with the correct Gen II airbox which uses different length bolts to hold it down. pretty easy swap though

don't know about the wheel vents, haven't decided yet.
we'll see how the naca duct goes, if it's a major pain in the a$$, I won't do the wheels. :p

mine is at the body shop right now, having all 3 vents put in my gen one hood. actually my hood is a late gen one, oone with the vents "pre notched" underneith. as planned as of now, when my hood is done....this friday, from the top there will be no seam around any of the three vents. it will look as if the hood was molded that way. from what i am told, to do this there has to be a special epoxy, because of molding the plastic vents to the injected mold hood. anyway, i will try to post pics as soon as i can. also planning on addin the autoform wing in the next very few weeks....i know i know a bunch of poser mods...real performance mods to come in the next yr.

gotV10, can you find out what type of epoxy it is exactly?
I'd like to know, I want the molded in look but didn't know
what type of glue would work best. Thanks for the info, Mitch :2tu: :2tu: :2tu: :2tu: :2tu: :2tu: :2tu:

I'm betting Marinetex..... I just had a couple of bubbles in my hood repaired... I thought about installing the three vents..... but decided against because of the striping on the hood?

I am anxious to see pics!! Take some of the underside as well.
