I was out driving a couple weeks back with the New England VCA. We took a u-turn to get back on track. All of a sudden my car was engulfed in smoke. I pulled over to find Power Steering fluid all over the engine. Proceeded to wipe the engine down and clean things up. Some guys suggested that I blew fliud out of the breather on the cap. Drove about a half a mile and the engine needed to be cleaned again.
Turns out the fluid hose to the power steering pump blew. I'm glad the car didn't catch fire, lucky.
My car is a 92 with 63k miles on it.
The smoke it quite strong..."I was sick as a dog, man"...for about a week after.
