'96 RT/10. It was my father's, he bought it new and put 70,000 miles on it a his daily-driver. I got it when he passed away in 2009. It sat for eight years as I was fearful of cracked suspension arms. It's now at Viper Exchange getting the Steve Austin treatment.

94 Red purchased new, 70k miles..... almost sold her twice but simply couldn't let her go... I've met soooo many people via the Viper...nothing better than looking over at the car/van next to you and seeing faces grinning from ear to ear... 2018 and we still get pictures and videos taken of the Viper, still stands out no matter where we go.... Now if Dodge will only pony up and get us Gen1 faithful a source for New Windshields!!... Thanks to ALL my fellow Viper owners!!

Yea the gen 1s rock, my first Viper a 95 yellow RT10 was so cool, where ever I went it was like the circus was in town, there will never be another car that made such a big impact on the automotive scene. My gen 2 is a 99, that to was an awesome time for Vipers, not to leave any one out all Vipers are AWESOME:D

'95 Black Gen I found a few miles from my home in SoCal posted on Craigslist.

Pics looked poor on Craigslist and I lurked for a few months, it never sold so called the owner 3x and finally he called me back weeks later.

View the car, rotted nearly flat tires, oil all over garage floor, boxes stacked on car ( carpet protecting the paint fortunately) but all ORIGINAL 45K miles, I mean really original no gasket upgrades, hardly maintenance done at all.

Took it for a brief ride around the block and on highway, a few issues but nothing major.

Purchased car for $22K brought it immediately to Dan Cragin for a full refresh on most areas of the car, installed headers, removed cats, installed 3.73 gears and WALLA fantastic purist car. I daily drive a Merc CL600 V12 TT and the Gen 1 is the complete opposite driving experience in every way, PERFECT!

Really like this top. Driving it home I went through a terrible rain storm in Illinois. Stayed dry. Has slider windows.

It's now at Viper Exchange getting the Steve Austin treatment.

16 months later, it's STILL at Viper Exchange. The manager just didn't seem to want my money, or maybe he didn't like first-gen Vipers. It took six months before I was called asking for payment on the mechanical work done. When I paid, I asked about their schedule to perform the interior refurbishment I asked for. Was told parts were out to third-parties for work. Three months later, I checked in when the manager happened to be out and was told they were awaiting my approval to begin the interior work! I then asked to just get the car inspected and I'd pick it up. Another two months go by, I visit them again (50 mile drive each way) and the manager gave the bad news that a tech was just starting a test drive when the hard top flew off. Was promised the top would be repaired and repainted which should take a couple of weeks. Another month passes, I again visit Viper Exchange. New manager is in place, which is good because the previous one would not answer my calls or return my messages. The hard top is repaired but now they're trying to find two steel pins for the hard top, one of which disappeared when it flew off. My Viper sure is snake-bit.

I think I at least determined the P/N by searching the Viper Store and then calling because I couldn't find them in the top drawing. Turns out they screw into the "roll-over" structure and not the top itself. Advised Viper Exchange, waiting to hear something.

I don't know if I shared my story with you guys before, but here it is:

In 2007, I had to sell my '94 RT/10 with 30k miles to pay for my wife's dream wedding.
I don't think she ever forgot that because 7 years later, she found a mint '93 with 5k miles and bought it for me.

She surprised me with it when I got home one day. It was just parked there like it belonged there.

Gen 1 owner chiming in - i just purchased this '94 with 19k miles for $31k. I have never driven or ridden in a Viper before, despite being a fan since 9 years old. 30 now, finally bought one. For the last 8 years i had a 370z which i will list for sale, and i've also got a 1990 Skyline GT-R i imported. I've only briefly driven the car a few times since i got it a few days ago, but the car is totally wild to drive, whether you like or hate it, the car definitely has a impact on you. I knew when i was looking for one i only wanted Gen 1, no windows, burned legs and all.

Car is in excellent shape, new tires, fluids looks great, has Belanger headers and exhaust, and sounds like it has a cam. Also came with an autoform top. I also sync'd the throttle bodies to make sure they open at the same time, my car was "bucking" at low speeds, not sure if anyone else has that. I also don't like the gas pedal..the pivot is strange, i'm thinking of zip tieing it so it stays in place! When i first drove it it was difficult because of how high the clutch engagement was (someone put a extension on mine) and how hard it was to "feel" the gas with the pivot.

Pics from the dealership in South Carolina
