Gen 1 Question...

Can anyone post a picture of a Gen 2 stcok radio and/or let me know what the Alpine model number is? It would probably depend on the year. I have an Alpine model 7513 that I got as a "throw-in" on an Ebay auction and it is perfect and I thought I saw a picture of a Gen 2 interior with a similar looking radio. Maybe I have a Gen 2 radio... Thanks.

My Gen1 alpine unit looks the same as my Gen 2 unit. i dont know if the specs differ.

My Gen 1 says Chrysler PN 4643021 on the bottom. I thought Gen 1 was tape player, Gen 2 was CD player?

The Gen. II radio is an Alpine CD player. The Gen. I unit is a Chrylser-branded tape deck. I bought a Gen. II head unit from RTTTD for my Gen. I but wound up going aftermarket instead.

I took the lazy mans way and the cheap way. I have a zune and just plug in the cassette adapter into the radio. You could do this with an Ipod or other Mp3 player. I like it because I can make my playlist depending on the mood I'm in. I think it sounds great except the left front drivers side volumne is a little low. I think it is a problem with my zune but the best tunes I hear are whats coming from the engine.
