Gen 4 Viper at VOI?

I keep seeing posts about the possibility of the Gen 4 unveiling at the upcoming VOI. Am I the only one who isnt planning on this? Gen 3's just came out in 2003, and its only 2006 and the Gen 3 coupe JUST came out. Gen 2's lasted from 96-02. I know Dodge is playing catch up with Chevy now, but I'm not expecting a whole lot of earth shattering news at VOI. I hope it is, but im not banking on it. We may get the news that its going to be more power in 07' Vipers (50HP or so), but no new bodystyle or massive HP gains like I've seen people hoping for.

Well, IF they are floating a concept or something to get reactions, I could see that. Maybe an '08 or '09 model?
HP gains aside, I doubt that there will be any huge news at the VOI, either. Even then, is 50HP enough to match the z06 top-end-wise?

Usually at VOI's the engineers, designers and marketing people are in attendance and gathering feedback from the attendees as to what they would like to see in future products.

They usually like to take advantage of the gathering to make any announcements that have been OK'd. Mopar will be on hand, and usually show all their latest goodies.

I would also expect to see any decisions make on racing the new Coupe to be made public there.

DC, as would be expected plays things close to their vest, and has been burned before by announcings things privately that show up within hours on these boards and the internet, so the days of them being previewed to us may be numbered.

At VCA Board and Presidents meetings officers take a pledge not to reveal any of the information gathered there. The Viper insiders feel a little more free to discuss items. Attendees in kind respect any embargoed information.

Needless to say, lots of activity is taking place to restore Viper to the dominate position for American sports cars.

That's funny as he!! How about some confirmed date s for VOI 9 first? I would settle for that right now

Well, here's my prediction...if an engineer doesn't flat out say "No...there's nothing going on" that right away means there's something goin on

I think there will be announcement, but not of Gen4... more like an ACR-type of Gen 3 coupes. Let's hope a good HP increase too.

my guess for the gen 4 is that it will be a freshen up on the body, it will lose a little weight and get about 50 more hp and have an acr version at around 625 hp but thats just a guess
