Lots of talk around regarding the new itineration, but how many here, have actually put up their $1k sticker price deposit for a new Gen 5 Viper, with a solid Viper dealer? I'm guessing if it isn't done pretty soon...ya ain't getting one, certainly not at sticker.

I've gotten on a list but I'm sure no money will be taken till we get closer to the reveal in April.

1. The order book has not opened.

2. Current owners who are VCA members will get preference.

3. To my knowledge, dealer allocation has not yet been determined.

So puting up a deposit may get you a car if you currently have a Viper and you are a VCA member and the dealer has the allocation to get you the car.

If I am wrong, maybe one of the site sponsor dealers will post and clarify.

Probably nobody else stupid enough on the boards here to do that.
See Bob's post above...
You lent the dealer 1K for a year to get on the list that doesn't exist. I'm on the list too without the 1K...LOL.....

Don't know that I've seen this published or confirmed?

I'm sure whoever has the money will be able to order one immediately regardless of any club membership.

That,s correct. If you have the $$$$$$,you will be able to get one.Besides,we have to see the improvements.Like a lot more hp(700),launch control with a duel clutch 7 speed with manual /automatic option.Say what you want, til you launch a car like a Porsche 911 Turbo S from the dig ,you have no idea what you are missing.Perfect launchs and shifts Everytime. The Gen 5 with these options would be unbeatable.

Unbeatable until the next high-tech gadget car does it better. Nothing is going to be unbeatble.

Most viper enthusiast want the exact opposite of all those gadgets. At some point, it won't take much talent to drive a car well anymore. What you are referring to is playing video games, not driving.

X2

Mine is sold so I don't think I'll be able to get an 2013 but I'll get one the next year then.

Mark my words "you'll ALL want to get one". Remember who is building it and what they've have done to the sports car world in the past and don't think their pulling any punches now. The Gen V will do it all over again. IMO

Proud VCA member.
