What part did I misread ????????????

The part where he simply stated it would probably be $15,000 for all of the carbon fiber cosmetics, because that's what they will end up costing. It was a statement of fact. Not an a hostile insult directed at Space Truckin.

Right? I even told him to have fun.

If anyone is hostile, it is the guy writing in ALL CAPS and irresponsibly using too many punctuation marks.

I'm game:

Tony I'm with you on waiting for a nice aftermarket Aero rear lip. I can't justify the price of the Mopar piece but like the look/functionality of it. It's not like I have to match it to any other visible exterior carbon fiber and I'm sure who ever makes one will make it look 99% like the factory piece anyway.

I don't need your money. In fact, I'll mail you a dollar to go away.

Robocop?

The $16K price tag is a joke...a true test of "it's worth whatever someone is willing to pay for it". I'm not planning to shell out much more than $3K for CF parts so I hope they price accordingly or are willing to negotiate.

Re: ACR and Aero packages ready

Unfortunately this has been a large part of what is killing the Gen V. The options pricing is way out of line. The base prices are pushing it, but fair. Adding any options is what makes everyone on this forum complain about the Gen V pricing. Your assessment of what pricing should be seems right to me. When you see aftermarket solid carbon hoods around $1k, you have to wonder why SRT is charging what it is for the aero package, or even the exterior and interior trims.

Making a copy of something is pretty cheap. Investing a ton of money into engineering and wind tunnel time costs much much more.

While many want carbon fiber parts because of their look, SRT designed them to improve the aerodynamics of their car to allow it to be faster on the race tracks. (and also good looking). Do not believe their prices are much out of line compared to other exotic pieces from their respective manufacturers. Lambo, Ferrari, Porsche, Lotus McLaren and others all charge pretty high pices to recover their development costs.

The sad part about the aero stuff and CF parts is that they should have been available from the get go. If they had, we wouldn't have had to hear all of the crap from the MT article. Personally I think this lack of getting the parts to market for those ready to buy for their snakes is just another jab in the eye so to speak. These people were so excited with the Gen 5 that they plopped the money down right away. These ambassadors should have been first in line to buy the parts. Instead they are made to wait even longer. Someone needs to point out to SRT and Chrysler that you can only disappoint your followers so much before they stop being followers. Well maybe I should say that the followers will be less enthusiastic in praising and defending.

I know this isn't very clear and will not show all the carbon parts we have worked on but here it is.

Just a preview lots of carbon viper gen 5 parts coming soon...

Hopefully you can see all the pictures.

Very interested in seeing full pics. Will you produce a CF rear lip similar to the aero package or just the wing like in your teaser pic? And is the rear appliqué in the pic also CF of your making or a stock painted black piece? I can't tell on my phone.

We haven't done any wind tunnel testing yet. We have discussed it. Honestly this was just a rush to get some of the parts ready for the Sema show next week.

I'll get more pictures up soon.
