gen I and II

I hear alot about the different mods in gen I and II vipers. I know my fair share about cars (no where near enough). But the concept lost me. Can some one PLEASE explain it to me

Umm OK...

Gen I - Side pipes, 400 HP RT/10's only, no side windows or outside door handles

Gen II - Rear exhaust 450 HP all GTS & newer RT/10's, real roll up side windows and outside door handles, there was a weight reduction for the Gen II and improved suspension over the Gen I
There was one year for the Gen I which was a crossover between the Gen I & II which does not conform to the above descriptions.
