Finally...seven long weeks without driving it. I nearly went crazy.
Just got a call that the last items have arrived in the local Fed Ex hub.
Tomorrow I'm picking up my new interior !
So what did I do ? The only thing I never liked about my Viper was the color of the interior (gray 94 interior). What do I really like ? The combination of black & silver. So this is what happened :
- Snake Hydes (Chad Harrison) created me a tu tone interior. I boxed up everything and sent it to FL. He took care of the rest. We really had a lot of fun customizing everything according to my wishes. Great guy ! The bolsters of the seats are black leather. The insides silver. Really nice and shiny silver, nothing a picture will ever be able to display. The arm rest (center console) and the knee bolsters are also silver. So are the middle sections of the door panels. Then there's something else...but I need to bite my tongue
- I painted the dash black. Awesome effect, but a grueling job. Never again ! Not even for $10K. So if you're in doubt : please spend the 500$ and avoid yourself the hassle.
- I also ordered some other goodies from Zero Altitude (Randy is a great guy !) and MGW.
- Hard wired my Valentine 1. Remote unit on the streering colum.
Here's some pics of the *hated* dash conversion.
As of tomorrow the installation process begins. I hope I will remember where everything belongs, haha (luckily all the screws are neatly stored in labeled ziplocs).
Here's a little teaser of a half finished product.
Expect more this weekend !
