Gen I with real windows!

[99 R/T 10]

I know a lot of Gen I owners had thought about making this modification. There is a car on Ebay (96 RT/10) that looks pretty good:

JONB can chime in if i'm wrong. 96 Rt/10 is that Gen1.5
I am sure that it came with real windows. I do not believe that this is an add on or modification

Sorry Frank, I'll chime in for Jon. 96 RT/10s definitely did not come with real windows. They came with "upgraded" hard plastic sliding windows (vs. zipup plastic of 92'-95'), but not real rollup windows. Those were not released until 97' RT/10s or 96 GTS'

The doors are NOT Gen1... Look the inside and outside of the doors, obviously Gen2...
However they have added some sort of strip on the A-pillar.

I think the doors are...well, I dunno. In my Gen. I we don't have the vertical door handle, so that's different. The seat belts are in the middle of the car, and not in the door so I'm thinking they're Gen. II doors. The only thing that says otherwise are the shaved exterior door handles (push-button releases are gone). What a weird mash-up...

Personally, I think adding "real" windows to a Gen. I is blasphemy. Plastic windows are for the occasional wash for me...otherwise the top (R.I.P.) and windows stay in the garage.

The guy who is selling the car has obviously no idea about Viper.
