I didn't get to see the Gen V at VOI, but I don't think the car can look like this. If you look at the cover used on the front of the test mules, I'd say it indicates that the intake scoop is back, and that there are two smaller hood vents on either side of it. Not as large as the Gen IV vents. So the hood has to be different.

I'm not sure what that wide rectangular patch above the crosshair is for. I suppose it could be some type of vent, but that would be pretty ugly. I really doubt that's what will be there.

Also, I doubt that the entire body of the car behind the front fender will look that similar to a Gen III-IV. This is a major redesign...not an update.

Oh yeeee with little faith. I am very confident the new car does not look like that picture though the cross hair grille is close to that in the pictures. Tough crowd. In January, prepare to have your socks knocked off.

Agree 95% C.V..........................the other 5% ? More like March, Not Jan, for public eyes.......

PS.... No Convertibles in 2013 so the rendering is just that..."renderings" !

Jon;

Detroit Auto Show is in January. It would only make sense that if you were going to release the car in March or a little later, that you would move it up to release at the Detroit show. It is the top Dodge vehicle and the whole "Imported from Detroit" theme of Chrysler and Dodge. The only show that matters for release in that scenerio is Detroit Auto Show, hence why I stated January.

That picture is Steve's new Gen V coupe to convertible conversion. That horizontal bumper slit feeds the worlds widest Vip-Air system as well. He has also managed to retrofit Camaro brakes on the car and do a six to five lug conversion.

The pictures and overplayed suspense are out of hand. I did like most have, and have already purchased something else. Can someone photoshop a marketing backfire?

lol There is no way that the car looks like that.

God I hope not. If they don't put some hips on the new car and get rid of those boring sides I am going to torture a kitten. We need a 79" rear with tucked in doors and a wider front to give it some shape.

Disclaimer: I love animals and would never torture a kitten. I'm simply trying to make a point

Nothing to worry, this pic is another p-shop between a mustang shelby and a gen4. Don't know why there are people wondering about all the pics they see on the net.....:dunno: The gen5 just gonna be great and we'll se it in time, that's it.

Looks like the closest rendering from the spy pics posted a few weeks back

If that's anything close to what the Gen5 looks like, I'm out. They can keep it. That's maybe equally ugly as a Gumpert Apollo. "Beat-it-with-a-stick" ugly. Ghastly. Looks like a Jack-o-lantern.
