Gen1 owners----gen1vr.com----any interest?

I have set up this web site to see if there is any interest in beginning the process of collecting information on the GEN1 Vipers? We’re six months away from celebrating the 20th anniversary of the first production GEN1 Viper, so I think the timing is right. If you go to the web site http://Gen1VR.com and click on the “DOCUMENTATION” link, you can view the data I have collected so far. Obviously there is still a long way to go. I think it’s in the best interest of all Viper owners and GEN1 owners in particular to get this process started and preserve this information. If you have any thoughts or suggestions, let me know.

This sounds like a great idea. As many of us know, the production of these rare cars was unorthodox and proper documention is critical to its collectability and future restorations. When do you hope to have the forums up and running?

SOMEWHERE within IVR is a registry for 1992-1993 owners.

It was begun by 2 early members at IVR...and probably has a link there. As 92-93 owners know all too well, over 200 running design changes occurred within these 2 model years.....and they have some unique issues.

Don't forget the 1996 RT/10 being a Gen1 hood/fascia, interior, engine with Gen2 chassis, PCM, sills and rear bumper!

The GEN 1 is side pipes, 3 spoke silver wheels. No stripes, RTM hood, XGTZ tires.
