Generation III exhaust system question

I have a 2005 SRT-10 that I recently purchased and I want to remove the cross over pipes. Does anybody out there know if I can keep the current resonators and replace the cross over pipes with exhaust tips from the Gen IV cars? I've looked in the MOPAR parts system and the resonators between Gen III and Gen IV have the same basic part number except for the last letter. If this is possible it seems like it would be less expensive than a cat back system. Thanks in advance.

Yes you can remove the crossover and install gen 4 tips on the gen 3

It gets marginally louder and doesn't have drone. It's still factory mufflers so it won't be loud at all.

Hollow out the secondary cat if you want more volume. No CELs either.
