I've never heard of one.
I've thought about doing it to my '95, but haven't had enough time to check out feasability.

From Sports Car International Dec 93
C. Van Tune review of the Venom 500

"Larger 3.0-inch-diameter (up from 2.5-inch stock) pipes with high-flow (450 cfm) catalytic converters and Borla XR-1 mufflers are slid into place. A crossover tube is then fabricated and wrestled around the underbody confines to connect both exhaust banks, further enlivening the output note. Aural improvement by this method is noticeable"

I would love a pic of this set up.

Wow, I'm amazed you spotted that. Most people never caught the reference to the crossover in that old article.

I don't know what that one looked like, but after reading the same mention in Motor Trend (?), I made my own crossover for my '94RT/10 in 1996 that didn't have headers (or cats) on it. In back to back runs, I picked up .25sec. or so going from consistent 12.38/12.39's to a 12.16 followed by a 12.12 in the next two runs after installing it at the strip.

That calculated to a 25hp gain. About the same as what you'd be lucky to get out of a set of headers.

Gee-****, I wonder why the cheaper crossover idea slipped into obscurity and wasn't promoted or developed, instead of more expensive headers...?

I still have it and all the hardware to install it.

I might be able to rustle up a picture. I didn't notice any change in exhaust note; maybe just a slightly deeper tone. If that...

Seems like it would be tough to route this without causing (more) ground clearance issues. I remember someone posting that they had done this when I first got my car/joined the board in 96. Maybe that was FE065?
I like the idea though!
