Wow, I'm amazed you spotted that. Most people never caught the reference to the crossover in that old article.
I don't know what that one looked like, but after reading the same mention in Motor Trend (?), I made my own crossover for my '94RT/10 in 1996 that didn't have headers (or cats) on it. In back to back runs, I picked up .25sec. or so going from consistent 12.38/12.39's to a 12.16 followed by a 12.12 in the next two runs after installing it at the strip.
That calculated to a 25hp gain. About the same as what you'd be lucky to get out of a set of headers.
Gee-****, I wonder why the cheaper crossover idea slipped into obscurity and wasn't promoted or developed, instead of more expensive headers...?
I still have it and all the hardware to install it.
