Challenge results just posted! Ray Moore wins Prepared again. Not a surprise. The surprise is son Kyle taking 3rd in Prepared ahead of a very fast Scott Young. Team V-TEN will be back in action at VIR. Sounds like the track was very ******* brakes!

Congrats to all the winners.

Hay Bill Lamb, good win in Super Stock. Now we are even in events attended and you may have me by 1-3 points overall. This is going to be fun!!!!!!!!!!!

OK, so who am I going to be running against in Super Stock for the finals? The West Coast Champion needs to keep tabs on the East Coast competition :)

Me!!!! :headbang:

Sweet! We didn't have the chance to run against eachother last year at the finals as neither of us could attend. Perhaps we can even get So Cal off his butt to attend :)

I am not going to attempt a write up like Tom does. It would be a cheap substitution of the VTEN Chronicles.

Just a summary though....

Great weather for the entire weekend (for a change).

In VRL Bobby Archer put a GT-1 car on the pole for Saturday's race (I think it was his second time in that car, EVER). The race was for second place (or for first in Comp Coupe depending on how you look at it). Some good close racing among the CCs.

Sunday's race was with an inverted field. Bobby started last but passed everything on the track by the end of the 2nd lap to finish first overall again. The car he was driving is for sale...I think he was trying to tell me something. Jim Stout did a great job and finished first in CC.

The track was very ******* brakes for the Challenge drivers (myself included). A lot of people where only getting 6-8 laps before the brakes were going away. Very frustrating to be able to drive in only half of the session.

We broke the transmission in my car Friday afternoon. Archer Racing had the transmission replaced in 2 hours. Try doing that at another track day event! Thanks again John, Russ and Crew !!!!!

The highlight of the weekend for me was my son finishing 3rd in the highly competitive Prepared class (10 entrants) in front of several people with a lot of experience at the track. It was his first full weekend in the Viper (he had driven it for 2 sessions at Mid America) and obviously his first time to Gingerman. Watch out everyone I have created a 16 year old monster, and he is fast.

I test drove Skip's Comp Coupe. After they cleaned the weeds out of it, I had a fun SECOND session. The thing is a great lawn mower. :2tu:

This hobby is going to cost me a lot of money.
