give\'em a break

Okay, I'm sure I get burned to a crisp for saying this, but I think we might want to be a little nicer to the moderators. I usually check this forum about 3 times a day and have learned so much and enjoyed it a lot. While I see that a lot of people don't like the changes it just seems that making constructive commentary etc would be the best way to get what we want. rather than some of the hostile posts I've seen. I believe that the moderators made changes in the hopes of making this a better forum for all to enjoy. Now maybe the changes were good, maybe they were bad...we will soon find out. It was not. I for one am not sure that I like the changes myself, but I'm willing to give it a chance. My main point is that the moderators spend a lot of time working to keep this site for all of you and I don't belive we can fault anyone who is making an honest effort to support what we all love. We may not all agree, but I don't think it was done with a malicious intent against anyone personally. Butit seems some people are retaliating back as if it was. If I was a moderator trying to make everything a little better for everyone, I would expect a little thanks for all the work I put in and if something I did does not please you, then I would certainly like to hear from you with a positive constructive note on how to make things better, not an attack on how I screwed everything up etc. I wouldn't blame the moderators at all if they all just told you to take a hike. Getting a lot of grief for volunteer work isn't right.. It's just not worth the hassle.
Once again, I think people just need to be a little more diplomatic in communicating. We all want the same thing..a great forum.

Re: give\'em a break

Maybe there should be a height restriction to, huh?

Give it a rest already, Alan. Are you concerned about my qualifications to be a moderator? Why does the fact the I've owned 3 Vipers and have a deposit at Woodhouse for a 4th, concern you? Would it make you feel better if I went out and bought a Viper that would only sit in my garage all winter while I paid property tax and insurance on it (Virginia has a yearly personal property tax on automobiles) and couldnt drive it? Maybe to you that makes some kind of sense, but I like the freedom of changing cars on a regular basis. I'd rather spend the money that would otherwise be spent on a car taking up space in my garage all winter by buying new sports cars each Spring. So, how exactly, is that any of your business?

I cant help you with you insecurity issues; but if you have anything else to offer the VCA or the Board; lets hear it. Otherwise you just sound like someone who is whining.
