A lot has to do with what you are running with the VEC2 program. Are you getting it tuned on the dyno?

I will be shocked if it comes out in the 3's. Doesn't a stock gen 1 put down 370rwhp?

Those are so high numbers, especially the TQ. Got to give the VEC 2 the credit, my guess. I had similar mods on my 96, but no where near that power output. Good job,

Just seems odd to me that we have essentially the same HP (I have 2 HP more), but he has 49 more torque.

Can you post the chart? I would like to see it.

I been telling you guys for almost 2 years now a GOOD tune on that Vec 2 is worth ALOT of power.

Congrats on the SWEET #'s (I'd tip your tuner he must have done a great job tuning)

Man - your car is making a lot more torque than mine, and I have similar mods + heads and cam! I'm making 464/481 on my Gen I. Guess that VEC2 is worth it's weight in gold!

Well I have to give alot of credit to Adam at F1 dyno in portland ME. He and I spent the better part of the night last night doing dyno run after run to smooth out the A/F the way he wanted. Although the first run we did with Roe's performance card yielded 420 rwhp and 521 rwtq the A/f was all over the place and the car was starved for fuel in the high rpm's. The biggest thing Adam did was smooth everything out and make all the power useable at any rpm. I will post the chart as soon as I get a chance to take a pic of it.

I was thinking next I should do heads and cam any recommendations?

I'm going to remain skeptical until I see the results for myself. Sounds like a really peaky dyno graph to me.

$270 is a good price for all the dyno (and brain) time you got from F1 also!
Can't go wrong w/ Greg Good for heads....
I used someone local on the recommendation of my shop/tech, and may not have got everything I could have out of my heads and cam upgrade. Cam I have is a 96 grind, purchased from Dan Cragin. Also did Gen II injectors at the same time, as well as port matching throttle bodies, intake, and heads.

As you can see below, I have similar mods with the exception of Stage 2 heads from West Coast Viper and a new cam ( I believe it is a comp coupe) I chose a mild cam as I wanted driveablity on the street. The result was 510 RWHP/547 RWT

you hit the nail on the head, alot of guys on here called my #'s B.S. for god knows how long but I have been saying it Sean really stepped in it with that vec 2 and in the hands of a good tuner it is worth its weight in gold.

***?? I only have 2 more HP than you but you have 38 more foot pounds of torque than me and look at my mods on a Gen2? Whats the deal? Now yah on the nitrous i'm hittin 600/820 but shouldn't i be putting more HP to the ground on MOTOR or is my car just a ****? Then again a 10.66 is a pretty fast **** haha. But i have a awesome tuner. Hmmm.... i'm confused
MAYBE its because my tuner tuned it for nitrous? grrrrr

You guys are crazy.

Unless you all ran on the same dyno, on the same day, in the same conditions, then don't worry about how your numbers stack up to others. I've always thought of a dyno as a good tuning tool.

cyaford: Doesn't it strike you as odd that JUCDVPR and I both have a little more HP, but he has way more torque? All 3 of us have VEC2's also. And mine was tuned by Sean Roe himself.

I'm not saying the numbers are wrong (well, maybe I am), I just want to see the dyno chart. My suspicion is that it is a really jagged, peaky torque band. I want to see the dyno sheet, is that too much to ask?

VEC1 gave me some great results. Darn California octane takes that out of the equation
