I have started a spread sheet with all of the graphite cars for sale on it. My goal is to eventually get every Graphite car. I am also wondering if you have any intention of selling it anytime in the near future. :smirk: ;)

If you don't mind could you PM me your

And most importantly, do you plan on selling it in the near future.

If you object to sending any of the personal info I fully understand.

Thanks. I am curious how many are on this forum. :2tu:

That is a pretty RT10. I also love the Slate SRT10's. Sometimes I think I should save a few more bucks and pick up a slate SRT10 or Coupe. I guess if I don't find the right GTS that can be my backup plan.

How much of a pain in the butt is it to put the tops on RT10's? Do you get a top that fits in the trunk for when you get caught in the rain and how well does that top work. How about the hard tops, what do they come with etc...

BTW my graphite RT was/is one of only 147 made in that color(graphite grey was only made in '02). If i still owned my RT/10's i would buy Jeff's(AP Engineering's) Trunk Top. Factory HT is easy on/off(real easy with two people and only slightly harder alone), but no where to store it when on the road. The SRT which i now own is a superior car in many ways, i loved my RT's but they seemed more like a toy. The SRT is a world class sports car! The brakes and real functioning top alone are worth the price of admission, and not to forget a real trunk and another 50hp.

Not wanting to start any wars in here but is the SRT really that much faster. I would think 50hp would be hard to really feel via seat of the pants. How do they compare in weight? (SRT10 and SRTC10 vs GTS)

Austin, tell me something I don't know. Graphite w/stripes is by far the best color combo out there IMHO. Crystal Slate is also one of the nicest SRT colors.

I own both, yes you can feel the 50hp but more importantly you can feel the dramatic difference in braking and handling. Drivability is just overall much better too. Tramlining of the tires is hardly noticable compared to a Gen 2. And as long as we're talking about it a slate 06 coupe will be much rarer than a graphite Gen 2, but can probably still be found right now and at a bargain due to the 08 arrival.

Hmmm, how many Slate Coupes or Verts did they make.

Is it just me but do the RT10 and SRT10's look better without stripes and GTS and Coupes look better with?

Not just you. I would pretty much agree with you on this one. Every once in a while I'll see an RT that has stipes and looks good. I dont like the stripes on the SRT vert unless it has a hardtop. I also think that in some colors, the SRTC and GTS look pretty good without stripes.

like i have been told by people on team viper the roadster was designed without stripes (original concept, the production RT and SRT). The GTS concept and GTS/R concepts and SRT-C all had stipes. personally i dont like stripes on any car. i was going to get a Ford GT and was going to get a car with all stipes deleted (larger center stipes and rockers)

Theres one thing I dislike about the stripes on the GTS. They give the optical illusion that the GTS isnt as wide as the RT. And although the GTS is a smidgen taller, the stripes make it look a lot taller over the RT than it really is.

the RT with the top off(or with Jeff's(AP Engineering)is actually the same or shorter than the Ford GT. With the factory HT or the GTS they appear much taller.

I never realized the RT was the same height as the FGT (with top off and or APE top on).

The RT's do appear wider. I assumed it was the top not the stripes. The flat trunk deck makes it look wider also.

I think some of it is the top as well, along with the rear, but if you put them side-by-side, you'll see what Im referring to.

Sad thing is I totalled my graphite/silver ACR @ VOI 9 (still crying). It was 1 of 8 ACR's that did not have the convenience grp added.
