Is it just me or are all the stats wrong? 0-60 in 3.8 sec; top speed 192; I could go on and on. 'Large rounded hood opens, revealing a very authentic looking engine' just what does that mean??

Something just doesn't seem right on this one

The seller obviously copy & pasted some SRT-10 stats, but it could be a steal.

Maybe this dude just doesn't know much about Vipers, and wants a quick and easy sale. For that price, somebody should snag it. Worst case, its a lemon, back out of the deal. According to the auction, even the hood & trunk open!

I'm sure alot of Viper owners dont know as much as we club rats do. Maybe he just used it to grab the ladies...

If I had an extra 28K, the auction would have ended by now!

He says near the bottom of his auction:
"I am selling the car due to budgetary constraints."
Did you see that friggin house this is parked in front of? A guy that lives in that house ain't on a budget.

I it's real, that's a good deal but it isn't a super deal. What do you think the going price is for a 95 R/T?

Did a search on Auto Trader (1995 Viper) and came up with this:

Highest price: $49999
Lowest price: $29995
Average price: $39711

This sounds like a description for a model car.

-----------------------------------------------------------

Large rounded hood opens, revealing a very authentic looking engine.

Gray interior with a decaled dashboard that features round white viewing panels along the top; decaled radio/temperature control
panel in the middle console area.

Black steering wheel, gear shift, sun visors, and emergency brake.

Opening doors and trunk.

Rotating silver wheels reveal disc brakes.

Steerable front wheels and authentically treaded tires.

I emailed him saying that I wanted to see it right away and if I liked it I'd pay the buy it now on the spot.

Here's what I received,
"i don't have time for anyone who wants to see it.
that's why it is in a shipping company warehouse.
you have 5 days for inspection after the transaction is done to make up your mind.
if you are not pleased with the car ... you can send it back and receive the money.
only escrow services!
the escrow company will NOT deliver me the money until you are certain that the car is ok for you (you have max. 5 days)"

I don't know how all that happened. Sorry

As far as the,
Highest price: $49999
Lowest price: $29995
Average price: $39711

I don't believe anyone is getting that average price for a 95.
I think that about $35k would be all anyone could expect for a perfect low miles 95.
The one in the scam has some miles. I'd say $31 at most.

I just sold my 94 for about $39K. I bought it for around $37K earlier this year, but I did add new wheels, tires, A/C and various exhaust mods. The car was in Central Cali, then came to southern Cali, and now it is going to Northern Cali.

Notice it has the original 3 spoke wheels, but the ad says it has 18" fronts and 19" rears, and it has Brembo brakes, a full race cage and fire suppressent system and a bunch of other things.

I've had more contact with this guy since the email I posted above.
He will work through an escrow service. But of course only the one service he wants, no other.

His escrow service is probably a scam.

YOU are the buyer. YOUR MONEY. YOU make the terms. If someone can't agree to that, your getting scammed...... or he doesn't want to sell...

Oh I'm sure it's a scam.
I've heard that there are fake escrow sites. His insistence on this one and no other, coupled with is "can't see the car and buy it on the spot" terms, and his lame ebay ad, are proof of scam to me.

I wrote to him asking if I could call him with a few questions. He wrote back saying he will only ship the car and that it's in a warehouse like Joe said...

Too shady for me...

The one strange thing is that guy does have alot of positive feedback.
