I have a '92 Viper (#53) and love it! My wife rather have me sell it and buy a GTS since she enjoys the car, but not what it does to her hair and hearing after a brisk drive.

I would appreciate feedback from those with experience with both (RT/10 and GTS) if the GTS provides as much enjoyment as the RT.10. The GTS is flat-out gorgeous, but I have never really appreciated my enclosed cars (Aston Martin DB6, Testarossa) as much as my convertibles (Aston V8 Volante, 308 GTS).

Buy a RT/10 with a hard top and you'll enjoy both worlds...top on with the wife...top off to see the tree tops wizzzzzz by! Or she can always wear a hat and enjoy the fresh air with you!! :2tu:

I couldn't stand the warm summer nights without being able to open the roof. Get an SRT-10. Quiet and solid like a GTS with the top up, rowdy and fun top down. IF you like the styling, can't beat it.

We all knew that would be Chuck's response :) :)

What about just buying a top for the '92?

Only short guys 5'10 and under should drive a RT/10 with the top off. Why you may ask? Because you look like a clown in the circus if your head is above the windshield. You guys no what i'm talking about or you need to get a 2 inch seat lowering kit. It looks down right silly to see a guys head coming down the road in a RT/10.

Eddie Murphy must have had the seat lowering kit in Nutty Professor I. I loved it when Buddy Love got in, and they had to cut Sherman Klump out. They used an RT/10 with a 'metal roof'.

If you drive(perhaps at a Skip Barber school) a SRT10 the choice will be easy.

It is very easy for the SRT10 to go from closed to open top. The performance of the SRT10 is outstanding.
