Congrats Martin, nice choice of colors.
I guess we will know soon enough if they continue to built another ACR, such as yours or close down or sell off to someone else. I wish you luck and hope it arrives for you soon. Steve

Thanks Steve! I actually hope it gets delivered sometime over the summer - can't do much with it in the pouring rain. Summer should be fun, though!

I've always wanted to do that - but these days I'm all over the place at a minutes notice, so it would be hard to schedule. At least when it gets delivered to the dealer, they keep it under lock and key until I can grab it (work 50/50 in Silicon Valley and Sydney Oz, and 'reside' in Portland). Also, they tell me that I still pay the $930 destination charge even if I pick it up at the factory - what's up with that? Am I just a cheap a$$ or does that seem wrong?

I really hope you take it out to PIR for an HPDE this summer. On behalf of Cascade Sports Car Club, I know a lot of people at PIR are looking forward to seeing what an ACR can do at Portland International. I'll be driving the 2008 GTS Blue convertible.

Congrats, beautiful car. I have the 2006 First Edition, which only came in GTS Blue and I also have the 2008 ACR Red/Black.

I think the GTS Blue ACR would be great. That blue just pops and is my favor color; but, didn't realize that Dodge would do a 2009 ACR in GTS Blue. It's not listed as an available color. How did you get that done?

If you don't mind me asking, did you pay under sticker for the car? Thanks and best of luck!!

I bet if you got a hold of the folks at Prefix, they would do the red stripe for you.

That is absolutely true, give them a call, your ACR will be at Prefix anyway to install the Aero package. Having the stripe done there and on the paperwork would make it "factory built" and not aftermarket.
They are really great people.

This is interesting, when you go to build a Viper on the Dodge site the blue color on the front Viper Page is Bright Blue, when you select the ACR option the blue color changes to GTS Blue, AND when you build the car it DOES allow you to add the driver stripe.
It could be the site is wrong as it has been many times but maybe your dealer should try again, stranger things have happened if it's on the paperwork it might get done.

Hi Lee, EXACTLY. I noticed that on the site a couple of weeks ago, and that's when I got anxious about trying to get a GTS Blue car. I figured that the marketing people who control the site had advance notice of what's going to be available. But, I think the site is wrong in a number of areas - no yellow or black listed, and the MSRP is wrong (should be a few grand higher). So, I'm taking the whole build site with a grain of salt right now...

I've heard that if you go that route, Prefix won't send your car back up to CAAP - you have to arrange for transportation yourself. Is that the case?

Prefix will only do custom work on your car after it has been delivered. My dealer specified the factory delivery. Prefix picked the car up at the factory and did the white stripes on my GTS Blue 08 coupe. My dealer, Roanoke, picked up the car at Prefix and delivered it to me. The delivery was at my expense. My window sticker does not show the stripes, but I do have the paper work from Prefix. Maybe that will matter to someone on down the road....and as Lee said, they really are great people!

Depending on when it gets built, it'll probably be up in Portland for a while and then I will drive it down when the Portland weather starts getting bad - and then back up to Portland again for the next summertime. There's also a garage space problem down in Cupertino that I haven't sorted out yet, so the car might be kept in a nice heated garage up in Portland for a while - the accomodations in Cupertino are spartan, to say the least...

Ah, the old no Orgeon Sales Tax, $44/2 year license plates ploy!

Hope to see you at PIR...... we start giving pace cars rides 2/22........
