I took the wife out to dinner and some date style errands in the GTS this evening. The air was cool, still, and dense with that post rain moisture. The road was clean, straight and dry. The Viper was running strong and noisy.
She hadn't ridden in the car for a while and I usually keep it somewhat tame for her benefit, but this time I felt she needed an effective demonstration of the car's truly animal nature.
My car only has K&Ns, Borla, and a fresh tune, but it put on an awesome, all power to the ground, display. After mashing on it good a couple of times, effectively pinning the doggy bag to the rear bulkhead, I glanced over at the wife and noticed that she was wiping tears from under her shades--tears of amazed excitement. She was totally juiced and loving the ride.
After we got home, she helped me put the car to bed, then stood back and stared at it quietly. I asked her why the earlier tears and what she was thinking? All she said was: "The car is SCARY but that was REALLY fun." Then I got the smile....
I love this car...
I wonder what she will think about a Paxton?
