This is what i was TRYING to get thru to him as NO WAY IN THE WORLD my GTS (built to the MAX soup to nuts you name it that motor had it to the tune of over 30k in mods at jobber prices )WOULD BE ABLE TO BEAT A cammed Z 06 with drivers of the same ability on the same track(i could barely beat a stock one).

Although the Duster was one of the most popular cars ever built in all history, a restorable decent body is worth $1000- 20,000 and no there's not many in junkyards. No there were a few million vettes built and many junkyards specailize in vette parts.

2006's didn't have 420 hp.... They had the 400 hp LS2, the 2008's went to 430-436 hp LS3 motor.

What Vettes do consider fast? There are more than 2 (in my book) - especially if you are talking about track times. I believe a base Z51 suspension LS2 w/ "only" 400 hp was quicker around VIR than a Gen III in the C&D Lightning Lap Test.

Ok...he was 1/2 a car behind when we started, and he ended up side by side (from 60 or so to 160 or so)...then he pulled a car...so 1 1/2 car from a 610rwhp car to a 470rhwp STOCK Z06...right?

You would have to hold to BS flags if you saw what happens to blown 702rwhp Viper against a 492rwhp "stockish" Z06...LOL...

Secondly a 618 rwhp paxton is the lowest dyno number for a paxtoned srt10 I have ever heard of. Ive read of some very low ones in the 630 rwhp range. But come on 618 rwhp? Most are 650-700 rwhp..

Im gonna look for stock ones and end this BS once and for all..445 rwhp and 3170 pounds..OHHHHHH AHHHHHHH....So fast..better have 600 rwhp on your 3390 pound car!!!!!!!Just to be even....

I think you are simply un-informed. The car was a pilot car, # 188 out of 200 original 06's that GM passed on to a few execs to try out. It seemed to run unusually good/fast but once put on the dyno, it was about the same as all the other ones in the area...just seemed to pull a bit more than they did. That video is old (used to call her a freak) - I forgot it was up - it is time for it to go. I need some new ones on the new Z so thanks for bringing it back from the grave - now it is gone forever! LOL.

Where about do you live? Hopefully you are in the midwest...if not, I am sure I can get you set up with a properly driven Z in you area so that you can put the theory to rest. Also, if you can find a 550-600rwhp Viper in the area that would want to test this theory, I am more than game. I think I know most of the Vipers around here, and they know what the Z can do on the roadcourse and on the straights.

Oh...just join the VCA already, don't be cheap - that will further increase YOUR credibility.
