Yep...had it on since March of 2006. Non-functional but could be further modified to plumb air somewhere. Did not opt for the sticky tape install so I don't know how that would hold up. What I did...which is a bit dramatic...is traced the mounting lip outline on top of the car, routed out a small channel that corresponded to the lip/flange on the roof scoop, used the recommended 2-part panel bond goo (can't remember the brand) and permanently bonded the scoop to the top. Filled, sanded, beveled, etc the bond/seam and wala...ready for new yellow, stripe, and clear. WOuld I do it again...probably. Turned out really nice IMO. You can view some pics in my gallery. I saw a blue one a few years ago that bonded/feathered it into the roof as well. That's where I go the idea.

why would anyone want a fake scoop that would just slow them down with added wind resistance:dunno:
does it atleast have a hole in the back to let air pass thru?

Something similar to this is people that put a front licenceplate on a car in a state where front plates arnt required:dunno:

This is the roof scoop on my car. The scoop is not open in front. I put some black pc mesh in front of where functional opening would be. I had the paint shop fill in the seems around the NACA ducts when they blended the roof scoop in

I really like it alot. But then again I am partial to working on things with scoops. Look what I am standing in front of. :D

Now, if the scoop on the roof of the Coupe fed something like the scoop on the bottom of that bird feeds; that would be the start of a great mod!

Tree's was the one I saw. I took his pics into a body shop with my roof vent and discussed the install, stripes, facia, sidesill repaint, etc and they wanted $9.5K...yea right so I did it myself.

I have one of those scoops, bought from JonB with the facia...
If you want better pictures of the roof/scoop, let me know.
