Hi All!

I have my 1994 in the shop at Tator's finishing an engine refresh (76,000 miles and wanted to stay N/A) and a year apart from her; and just waiting on a tune. Couldn't find any threads with a compression of 9.3:1 on gen1 to compare. As with all projects: blown budget and longer than expected time in the shop but almost done. (hopefully) Wanted to get some guestimates on potential RWHP with the following mods:

9.3:1 Compression (bump from stock 9.0:1)
Comp Cam
Port/Polish Heads
Belanger Headers
3" Roe Racing Exhaust
Catless
AB Plug Wires
180 Degree Thermo
K&N Filters
Smooth Tubes
Gen1 Injectors (cleaned/serviced)
Harland 1.7 RR
VEC2

Thanks!

I Think you should be at around 500 Rwhp with these mods

I`am at 430 Rwhp with these mods wih my 94 :

VEC2 ,
1,7" Harland Sharp Roller Rockes
3" Belanger Headers
3" RoeRacing Cats+Mufflers
GEN2 Throttle Bodys
Smooth-Tubes+K&N Filter
GEN2 Injectors
Polished Air Intake
70 mm Air Box Outlet

Stock Compression on GEN1 cars is Just about 8,6 :1

Thanks for the input! Hopefully I'll crack 500rwhp. I am definitely going to follow the break-in steps for the rebuilt engine to get the most out of it. I'll post the dyno once it is done.

You will likely hit 500 RWHP if your heads are ported by a real pro (like Greg Good, striker etc) and you are running a healthy fast acting comp cam.

Bob is right about the head gaskets.

You will need the bigger gen 2 injectors and a tune, I can supply both. We get 500rwhp with the following:

High flow air filters
Smooth tubes
Ported Throttle bodies (step removed)
Gen 2 injectors
SBEC Calibration
Ported heads/ Milled for 9.8 to 1 compression
1.7 Rockers
708 cam (117 Centerline)
Belanger Headers
High flow cats
Magnaflow mufflers

Hope this helps.
