Has anyone had a handbrake handle that rattles constantly when cruising at 1600 to 2000 rpm? Its annoying! Please let me know if you've got a solution.

Put your hand on it, that works on mine. Seriously though, somewhere in the past posts there is something about an oring fix ? Something simple and cheap to eliminate the rattle as I recall, or just get a louder exhaust like mine.

The Year Matters! I bet you have a 2000.

There is an easy fix...it's the button in the E-brake release....the cable is too loose.

Hi, I've had this problem occaisionally and I found that by just pushing in the button and letting it snap back out usually would stop the problem temporarily. I don't have to do it every time I drive the car, but it does seem to fix the problem when I notice it every now and then. Otherwise, Matt or John B. have the answer if you want to take it apart.

There is a fix for the "rattly" button, I think it was posted here a while back. You need to remove the center console to get at the parking brake handle where the ratchet is. There is no cable, but a thin metal part between the button and the ratchet itself, that releases the ratchet when you press the button. You need to stick a piece of the fuzzy velcro between the thin metal piece and the handle arm itself. You will see how this works...it's easy. This will take up the slack and get rid of the rattle. I think this was a Team Viper fix.
