Hardtop Identification - Please Help

Hi All,
I received a hardtop for a 1995 RT/10 and it doesn't fit.
The front pins look wrong, and the rear clips/hooks are completely the wrong direction, and are actually bolts. My guess is this top is for a later model, but want to confirm before I complain to the seller of the hardtop.
First picture shows the rear sitting on top of the car, and how the bolts are completely different direction to the clips/hooks I was expecting would go into the body slots.(like the soft top)
The other pictures show some other angles with it off the car.
Please help.

The bolts could be correct. It looks like you still have the sport bar padding installed on your car. My mom has a hardtop for her 94 that you have to remove that padding for. There are bolt holes in the sport bar under it that the top bolts into. So it could still fit, though they are more annoying to deal with as you have to take the padding on and off.

MoparMap you are correct. The sports bar has to come off for the top to screw into the area where the sports bar was

Yes.....pad needs to come off. You will also need to remove the pins that hold the pad in place. They come off with a flathead screwdriver. Pins in front look correct, unless roof is made for a Gen2. The separation between the pins are a little different.

There are 2 factory hardtops. One for G1's, '92-'96 and the G2 version '97-'02.

The G2's have a mesh pocket on the headliner. If you have that mesh pocket then its not going to ever fit.

If you have the G1, take the sport pad off (like said above). Lay the top in place with the rear bolts removed. Line the front pins up correctly, then one by one push the hardtop down from the top in each corner and turn the handle to secure it. You have to apply pressure to get those front pins to seat and make sure you turn the handles.

A little pressure on the rear will get the bolt holes to line up. Periodically check to see if the rear bolts are secure as they have a tendency to back out.

JK, I just found a picture of an OEM G2 hardtop. Your's must be a G1 since the G2's attach in the rear via the sport pad (just like your soft top).

They are tough to find.....if you do find one, make sure it's for a Gen1 because there are Gen2 3 piece roofs out there. Mine was a mess.....fortunately I had a great fiberglass guy and knew someone with a CNC machine to manufacture the plastic parts that were broken.

JK, glad you got it on!! Make sure those windshield area levers are closed correctly.

also, I notice from time to time I get slight scratching on the rear edge. I lay down foam tape across the sport cap just to prevent minor scratching.

Hey man, I actually think I’ve decided to keep it now. Originally I couldn’t fit in the car, but now I’ve lowered the seat and it’s not to bad. I really like the look of it also. Here’s the video of mine.

Sorry I didn’t get back to you, been out of town and have the vipers in winter storage now, so I tend to forget about them.
Out of interest, what seat lowering kit did you use? (I’m 6’2” and would love a bit more head space)
Also, did those windows come as part of the hardtop ‘set’ or bought separately?

They came together as a set and I believe they are the only ones that will work with this top. The seat lowering kit I made. I’ve got a video for it here. Just trial and error fitment.
