Has anyone ever changed their fuel pump in an 01 RT/10 any pointers please.

If anyone has done this job pointers would be appreciated is it hard or is it a do it yourself easy job and i heard you have to cut a peice out in the trunk is this true and if so where is this place you cut out.....thanks again for any help with this.

You should only have to drill out rivets in your trunk panel to access behind the trunk. I have never done the job, but remember reading that.

My fuel pump went when I was driving down south and had to take it to the nearest dodge dealer. The tech said it was a pain in the a$$ had to take the trunk out. Thank god it was under warranty...Adrian

I had mine out of my '02 RT/10. It's very time consuming. You can drill or punch the rivets out. Get a hot air gun to use around the perimeter of the panel. There is silicone around the back of the panel in addition to those rivets. One strap goes over the tank from side to side. Unbolt filler neck from quarter panel and remove all hoses from tank. Pull tank as far forward as you can then remove wiring and retention ring for pump assembly from tank. Take your time and good luck
