Has anyone here installed a nice underhood light on your Viper?

I was noticing that when the car is outside and it's getting dark, it's tough to see what's under that large umbrella of a hood. I was kicking around the idea of putting some kind of a light under there. Has anyone here done that, or thought that it might be nice to have one?

Clamshell. It's clamshell, not umbrella. An umbrella is something a woman carries. A clamshell is something a woman...nevermind. Just call it a clamshell.

JH23JOB...

I installed one from Sean Roe and the unit works great. Only comes on when the key is on. Check with Sean on this.

Just find a nice looking one from a new car. I would not get one that worked off the ignition, I would get one that has a built in (levelometer, we will call it, mercury switch?) It will only come on when you open the hood.....when the switch is not level. Im not sure if this type also has a press on/off switch under the hood...I will check the Grand Cherokee. On our umbrellas

it would be mounted backwards which would be good for not coming on during hhhaarrdd acceleration.
